Site Evalution

1. Contract with a CPSS or ARCPACS soil scientist for soil site evalution

2. Bring a copy of that evaluation to the Perry County Health Department for review.

3. Acquire and assigned county engineer's address for the property (740) 342-2191

4. Purchase a Home Sewage Treatment System Site Evalution. $125.00

*** At this point in the process the Perry County Health Department will review all information and determine based on soil scientist evalution what type of system you will need to install. YOU DO NOT HAVE A SEPTIC INSTALLATION PERMIT AT THIS POINT.

Septic Permit

1. You must have layout plan in compliance with 9.1 (A) Perry County Health Department Sanitary Regulations (PCHDSR) or a 9.1 (B) of the (PCHDSR)

2.An application fee of $275.00 for the septic permit.

3. A Perry County Registered Installer MUST be used.

*** WHEN YOU GET TO THIS STEP YOU WILL BE ISSUED A SEPTIC PERMIT AND A OPERATION PERMIT.

4. After completion of installation and approval, and as built drawing in compliance with 9.1 C of the (PCHDSR) is requried.

5. An 18 month inspection will be performed after this system is finalized.
