HIV Testing and Counseling
Free oral mouth swabs to test for HIV are given at the clinic and take about 5 minutes. The swab is then sent to the Ohio Department of Health lab and mailed back to the Perry County Health Department nursing department to be read. The tests are always confidential and may be completely anonymous. HIV pre/post counseling is offered by the Public Health Nurses by appointments or walk-in. The results are given face-to-face.
