Jennifer Martin is the Emergency Response Coordinator for the Perry County Health Department. She is funded through the Public Health Infrastructure (PHI) grant provided by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Her job includes writing, maintaining and revising the emergency response plans for the health department; working with the local Emergency Management Office (EMA) to ensure the county is prepared for an emergency; providing information to the public on how to prepare themselves for an emergency; and providing preparedness training to health department staff and community members. She is a co-coordinator for the Perry County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) and works with these volunteers to prepare them to respond in the event of a disaster. She is also trained as a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) instructor and works with the EMA to provide classes for the community.
